I want our love to bloom

Want our hands to Intertwine like grape vines

Like a primrose I just need a little sunshine to grow

Just need a little sign to know that you are worth wishes on dandelions

So I can blow these what ifs away

The what if you go or what if you stay

I can’t go through another day unsure

What if the world ends and I never let my heart spill its secrets to you

Hesitancy bores holes in flowers

Devours the beauty in life

So I spill my secrets to you and let my heart say the truth that it needs to

Waiting for you to tell me how you feel is like waiting for the sky to reveal the sun

The moon cannot cover up your lack of responses

And my petals will wilt everyday you postpone the inevitable

I apologize for asking for sunshine

When I know you can only bring me rain

And I know I am looking for acceptance in a flower garden of pain

But all this waiting won’t stop me from  placing my first name next to your last name

And I know rejection would poison my roots and turn my beauty to shame

But I let you know how I feel so that if you feel the same

Our love can bloom

And hands can Intertwine like grape vines
